· RESIDENT COMPANYENT COMPANY
The Company Alicia Soto-Hojarasca has become Resident Company of the theatre of Serrada, Valladolid, by getting the autograph of the local authorities of Serrada in May of 2007. It’s for the first time that a company of the Community of Castilla y León signs an agreement with the local authorities.

By signing this agreement the local authorities concede the theatre and its facilities to the company. As far as the company is concerned, the company takes on realizing an ambitious project of cultural share and promotion, based in discovering dance and approaching it to the public. This it will do step by step: beginning with the youngest ones, attracting young people, approaching to the adults and finally involve the oldest ones.

The project is consists of two programs:

1. “DERVIC”, Danza Educacional en la Ruta del Vino (Educational Dance in the Itinerary of the Wine). This program is directed by Serrada and the Community of Medina del Campo, and consists of classes of contemporary dance for young people and adolescents; classes of Pilates for adults; and exhibitions and shows of video-dance.

2. “TYMID”, Taller Internacional de Multimedia y Danza (International Workshop of Multimedia and Dance). TYMID is a project based in the exchange with other international professionals and artists that stand out in the world of dance by working from a new aspect. This world of dance is about urban dance related to folkloric roots and the world of information technology and multimedia: hip-hop, vertical dance, break-dance, multimedia dance, etc.

The goal of this ambitious project is to spread contemporary dance mainly among adolescents, to consolidate a future public of dance, and to build a structure and a professional web of dance. This can be achieved by activities and exchange with other similar structures of other productive communities and international cultures.
