The Company Alicia Soto-Hojarasca is an emerging company of contemporary dance. It’s situated in Castilla y León, historical region of Spain located on the northeast of Madrid.

In 2000 Alicia Soto becomes the Artistic Director and Choreographer of the company. With her, the company has lived a constant evolution, developing really personal theatrical lines of conduct, away from the ordinary predominates.The company has a strong feminine component, not only concerning the team but also concerning the themes of the creations and researches. Composed by dancers and actors, the company consists of a pluridisciplinary team, associating international creators in the scope of video-creation and in that of dance.

· “Section C, Fallen Angels Search to go up to Heaven” (theatre version), première in December 2003.
Nominated for sensational new spectacle at the Premios MAX 2004.

·  “Danceart”, educative project developed for the Municipal Institute of Culture of Burgos, courses 2001-2002-2003-2004-2005-2006. Initiation of rhythm and movement as well as intellectual and emotional development. Approximately a 1000 children have participated each year, always with much success and with more demand than offer.

· “The Woman Without Memory”, a tribute to the writer María Teresa León, première in Burgos, October 2004.
BIG SUCCESS at the ‘Theatre Fair of Castilla y León’ in Ciudad Rodrigo’, 2005; and an OVATION at the “Cairo International Festival for Experimental Theatre”, Egypt, September 2005.

It is a member of ARTESA (Scenic arts from Castilla y León) and the Scenic Creation Center “La Parrala” from Burgos. The company is based in Serrada Theatre (Valladolid)
